Designed purely for twin rotor applications
MoTeC has just added a new Engine Management System to its stable: the M2R, dedicated to 2 rotor engines.
The ECU are derivatives of MoTeC’s existing M4 ECU, a longstanding favourite amongst road car enthusiasts and racers alike. By tailoring the software specifically to suit these popular engines, MoTeC has been able to retain the brand’s trademark quality and performance whilst significantly reducing the cost.
The M2R has been designed to run twin rotor engines, with rotary split functionality to control four individual coils. This leaves one output available for a fuel pump or fans if required. If the wasted spark leading mode is used, a second auxiliary output becomes available.
Aside from the engine limitations, the M2R tuning software provides the same functionality as the normal M4 software, and optional upgrades, such as data logging, traction control, turbo anti-lag and Wideband Lambda can be enabled at any time using MoTeC’s convenient password system. The ECU also come with 6 hours of free Wideband Lambda and Logging to assist with initial set up and tuning.
