Shell Racing Fuel - Historic

Application

Shell Racing Fuel - Historic is a special unleaded racing fuel, developed for
maximum power delivery and reliability of historic car engines, originally
designed for high-octane leaded racing fuel. Health, safety and environmental
aspects for Historic Cars regarding engine operation and racing fuels handling
are improved significantly as hi-octane leaded racing fuel is no longer required.

Comments For Use

This racing fuel should not be used in cars with catalytic exhaust cleaning,
because of the potential impact on catalytic performance. Do not add any
component or different racing fuel to this product, or use leaded racing fuel
after the vehicle has run on Shell Racing Fuel - Historic, as this could increase
the risk of incompatibility and potentially impact the performance properties
of the racing fuel. To maintain maximum performance potential, the racing fuel
should be stored in closed, and preferably full fuel containers, in dry and cool
conditions. This racing fuel should be stored in closed and cool preferably full

The formulation of Shell Racing Fuel - Historic is based on extensive experience
on lead replacement technologies for engine operation under racing conditions.
Shell Racing Fuel - Historic covers all required properties of historical race
engines up to Historical F1 Cars. The tailored performance package, including
approved lead replacement components, in combination with a high-octane base
racing fuel, gives maximum engine protection for historical engines. This racing
fuel ensures clean combustion and minimises the formation of deposits in the
inlet system and combustion chamber. Shell Racing Fuel - Historic is red dyed
to distinguish from other racing fuels and to minimise the risk of mixed use with
other grades.
