A lightweight, highly efficient heat transfer product that combines durability with reliability, Serck Speed oil coolers are manufactured from aluminium alloy components, brazed into one piece assemblies. It is this brazing process, along with leading edge design features, that ensures Serck Speed oil coolers can withstand tests of up to 350 psi (240O kpa). The design features a common depth of 50mm, with two fixed matrix lengths of 115mm and 235mm. When selecting a cooler please consider; The size of the cooler is directly related to engine speed and capacity as well the ambient air conditions. A 235mm wide, 19 row oil cooler may be adequate for a high revving 1.6 litre motor where a 25 row cooler may suit a slower revving 5 litre V8. Coolers will operate at maximum effectiveness when provided with ducted and cool air. Select cooler inlet and outlet fitting understanding the quantity of oil being circulated. Install an oil temperature gauge to ensure your engine's lifeblood is below its oxidation threshold. Do not rely on a fall off in oil viscosity and resulting engine oil pressure to diagnose the problem; by then its already too late!
