ARC aluminium flywheels are computer designed for the lowest possible moment of inertia consistent with their intended use and applicable safety requirements. They are CNC machined from aluminium billet with wearing surfaces provided by a replaceable ground steel plate affixed by screws. They generally use a positively fastened OEM ring gear. Pricing is dependent on design and size but is usually around $660.

They are CNC machined from steel billet with wearing surfaces being ground after nitride hardening. They may use an OEM ring gear (positively fastened) or alternatively have a precision ring gear machined into their circumfrence for optimum safety and reliability.
